Joseph graduated from North Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Architecture and moved to Maryland in 1988. He began designing houses that were built at the age of 17 while working for a lumber company in his hometown in Minnesota. His experience in and around home construction at a young age has continued for over 30 years as an architect and home inspector. After starting his own architectural practice in 2000, he bought a Pillar To Post franchise in 2010.

Having completed over 2,000 inspections since then, Joseph has gained a reputation for being thorough and knowledgeable in the field.
